Humility is all I believe in, but I still take pride in the healing power of this white apron!

Doctors — An asset!

My identity, honour and pride - My white apron!

I'm not complaining about the prime youth spent amidst books, but I'm grateful for the satisfaction of earning my favourite badge!

I don't complain about the long working hours, rather I'm grateful for the happiness in my patient's eyes!

I’m not complaining about the sleepless nights, but I am indeed grateful for the blessings earned on the patient’s discharge!

I don't complain about the tedious and hectic first year residency, since it helped me shape my career and polish my craft!

I'm not complaining about my scarred fingers, for I'm happy that they are memories of healing my patients!

I don't complain about my plantar warts, since they were a gift I unknowingly received while walking bare feet to see my newborn babies, during my reference visits to the NICU.

I'm not complaining about my impromptu cardio workouts while on errands for the patients, since I know my patients are restoring to health!

I don't complain about my frequent fever spikes and sore throats, for they are a result of my patients' keen interest in sitting close and listening to me!

I'm not complaining about the rumbling belly, because I know my patients are being fed well and taken care of!

I don't complain about the early mornings, since the morning ward rounds have become my favourite daily task!

I’m not complaining about the squabbles with the patients' relatives, since I understand their concern for their kin!

I don't complain about the late paychecks, because it's not the money that's attracting me anymore, but a deep sense of fulfilment I get on treating and healing patients!

I'm not complaining about the scars of chemical burns on my hands, because my patient was happy with the beautification of 'her' scars!

I don't complain about the stink emanating from the wounds, for I know my patients need healing hands!

I'm not complaining about the unrealistic expectations patients have, since I know they have immense faith in our abilities!

I don't complain about my crancky behaviour at home, since I believe it's due to the immense stress I get on seeing a heavy and chaotic OPD!

I'm not complaining about my lack of contribution in household chores at home, for I know I'm contributing enough for the betterment of my patients' lives!

Despite the stink, we don't flinch!
Despite the pain, we stand straight!
Despite the ill-health, we do our duties!
Despite the lack of sleep, we give our best!
